《血流感染實驗診斷與臨床診治》自2011年出版至今，深受臨床微生物實驗室檢驗人員和相關醫師的歡迎和好評，已成為血流感染領域的經典著作。
本次修訂，對章節和內容進行了大幅度調整、完善和更新。全書共3篇共26章。重點通過圖解形式，闡述常見病原菌、少見菌和疑難菌在不同培養基培養后涂片的鏡下形態；更新和補充了引起血流感染的少見及疑難病原體的照片；增加了血培養細菌和真菌生長曲線特點，厭氧菌血培養、分枝桿菌血培養、真菌血培養、特殊要求血培養（巴爾通體血培養、支原體血培養等），以及寄生蟲血液檢測等；擴充了高致病菌血流感染和危重癥患者血流感染的管理、臨床診斷和治療，包括血流感染早期微生物診斷、抗菌藥物的選擇以及感染病灶的早期適宜控制等。
全書內容豐富、圖文并茂，兼具獨創性和實用性。書中附有彩圖（照片）500余幅、示意圖20余幅，并收錄60多個血培養工作中的常見問題與解答，以及30余例臨床疑難病例與專家解析。
